Hub Feenix

Living at Hub Feenix

Hub Feenix is continuously growing!

Many may have seen only the event spaces, but there are residents, international volunteers, artists in residence and digital nomads living here.

Also, the available possibilities are growing from the coworking, wood/metal working, clay, sewing, 3D-printing, gym, music room, audio/video studios, saunas, grilling space, a pub and much more to come!

A community is forming, almost a small village.

There are now several options for living at Hub Feenix. We are primarily looking for people who share our values and align with our code of conduct.

There are also some open positions at Hub Feenix, ideally for people who live here (see below).

Small community

At the back of the main house we have a space for a small community. It has four rooms, about 18m2 each, a bathroom and a large cosy kitchen.
The space is currently empty, meaning we are ready to rent the whole place to a group wanting to live at the Hub.
Contact us for more information.

For people who want to join an existing community: see below.

Mandala lounge corner

Community living

We currently still have availability in an existing larger community space.
The place has 8 bedrooms and there are still 2 of them available: a single (about 20m2) and a double (about 34m2).
The rent is 330€/month and 480€/month respectively. It includes water, Wi-Fi and access to the Makerspace. It doesn't include heating and electricity.

The shared kitchen is very large and light. There is also plenty of corridor and storage space.

Omakotitalo

Community House

Just 50m to the north of the main building we have a large freestanding house (omakotitalo) for rent. This space is well suited for a small community as it has at least three good sized bedrooms and a large common living space.
A fourth room exists and could be used as guest room or office.
The rent for the whole space is 1250€/month. It includes water, Wi-Fi and access to the Makerspace. It doesn't include heating and electricity.

Paritalo pääty

Creative couple house

Also very close to the Hub Feenix, we have a double house for rent.

This house has a large common space with fire-place or pellet stove and one large bedroom. There are two smaller rooms that could be used as office/studio, or practice room.

The rent is 1100€/month. It includes water, Wi-Fi and access to the Makerspace. It doesn't include heating and electricity.

Working at Hub Feenix

As we are expanding, we need more people to help out.

We want to work with people that also live here.
It's an EXCHANGE based on a common understanding, not a permanent contract with salary or a full time position in the traditional sense.
There is an onboarding process, and it requires flexibility.

Marketing

With the rise of social medias comes the ever increasing need to be present online, regularly, if not constantly. Raisa has been taking care of this, but would really appreciate help.
Additionally to Hub Feenix and the Residency program, we also build tiny houses and want to promote the Makerspace.

Cook

With the groups getting bigger, so does the need for food.
While we have a good team and good recipes, the load is currently spread out. What we are looking for is someone to take main responsibility for the food, from buying, cooking, recipe development and scheduling.

Car mechanic

Our current "fleet" is about 15 cars, all of which old-ish. A fair number of these are shared, and we hope in the future more will be.
But this means constant upkeep and while we have the space (a garage with car-lift), we are missing the expertise.
